Rani Laxmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, was the queen of Jhansi (Princely state) in Northern India, presently located in Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh, India. She was born on 19th November 1828.
- LaxmiBai was well trained in martial arts and became proficient in sword fighting and riding.
- She, at the age of 22, refused to cede Jhansi to the British during their rule in India, which lead to a revolt.
- During the rebel against the British to protect Jhansi, she set up troops and managed everything with utmost dedication and patriotism.
- Even when her fort was surrounded with the British, she fought with bravery and managed to escape and again rise against the British.
- Tantia Tope gave his full support to Rani Bai for the rebel against the British.
- She set an example of bravery for others and taught not be oppressed by the forces and protect their territory.
- In the final combat with the British, she dressed as a man to fight and was martyred during the combat.
