Waterfalls are one of the most beautiful sights to see around the world. Though there aren’t many waterfalls in India like other countries, a number of waterfalls that are available are worth giving a visit. And here are those amazing waterfalls that one should definitely once in his lifetime:
- At no. 1 are the Jog falls which is located in Shimoga, Karnataka. It is the second highest waterfalls in India and one of the most beautiful in the world. The water comes down from the mountains covered with greenery and gives one of the most wonderful feelings as well as one of the most wonderful views which one would have never even seen in his dreams.
- The Dudhsagar Falls of Goa is at the second place in this list. The place was named as Dudhsagar because the water here falls from a height of 310 meters and when it falls on the rocks of mountains it looks like milk is flowing through the mountains, and that is why it is also called the ocean of milk in English.
- At no. Three is the Iruppu falls of Coorg. Coorg has a lot of tourist attractions, and one of them is Iruppu falls which flows beside Lord Shiva temple and people not only enjoy the view of Iruppu falls, but there is a saying that people can get rid of all their sins by bathing with water of Iruppu falls.
- At no. 4 is Nohkalikai falls in Meghalaya. We all know that Meghalaya is the state where the maximum amount of rain falls and due to which there are a number of waterfalls available in the state but the best among all is Nohkalikai fall. It is one of the most famous waterfalls in India because the speed of the waterfall remains the same throughout the year and water falls from a height of 1100m which is the highest in India.
These were a few exciting yet very beautiful waterfalls to visit in India. Everyone should visit these amazing places once and store the memories of a lifetime after that. There are a lot of waterfalls in other countries as well which are very beautiful also but when one can find everything in his own country, why should one travel to another one.
