The architectural building which has a historical value are considered a monument. India is a land where several kingdoms came into existence and got extinct, but the major buildings developed during those phases are still appreciated and discussed among the people.

Taj Mahal is one of the most popular monument as is counted on the list of Seven Wonders of the World. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial in the memory his wife Mumtaz Mahal. People travel from all around the world to appreciate the beauty and see the glimpse of a historical masterpiece.

Red Fort is another most popular monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan. The building is made of red stones and is popular for its integrated carving.

Qutub Minar is another popular monument and is appreciated for its 230 feet height. It was started by Qutub-ud-din-Aibek and completed by his successor Iltutmish. The walls of the monument are the carved by the words from the Holy Quran.

Golden Temple is the most beautiful Gurudwara, located in Amritsar it is also known as Darbar Sahib. It is a popular Sikh pilgrimage, but people from all the cultures visit here.

Apart from these, there are more popular monuments in India, i.e.; Lotus Temple, Charminar, India, Gateway of India, Imambara and many more.
