My Favorite Hero is Spiderman. I remember the days when I collected all Spiderman comics and I was crazy to read them again and again. Writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko created this fictional superhero “Spiderman”. His first appearance was in the comic book, Amazing Fantasy in 1962. I read Spiderman stories from books published by Marvel Comics then came the movies, video games, and other television shows.
In the stories, Peter Parker is an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents Richard and Mary Parker were killed in a plane crash. This American teenager visits a science exhibit where he is bit by a radioactive spider. He gains strength and speed and becomes a superhuman. Spiderman then discovers his ability to cling to walls. Spiderman has the powers to do good to the society but had to struggle in dealing with the common things in life. He encounters difficulty with friends, families, and employers. I think this simple humanity overtook his exotic talent and won him millions of fans. Parker was warned of the approaching dangers as he had the precognitive “spider sense”. Later, Parker used his inborn scientific talents and discovered an adhesive web fluid. He used wrist-mounted web-shooters to help him in webbing and moving among the tall buildings. It was then Spidey designed his costume. Even now I see many young children still crazy about the red and blue costume with web festooned. Initially, Spiderman was less interested in fighting crimes and disguises himself as a professional wrestler and becomes famous on television.
I’m always really thrilled to watch Spiderman movies, and it’s nice to visualize the comics that you have read. Undoubtedly Spiderman movies gained the same momentum as the comics. Post legal issues, Spiderman hit the big screen in May 2002. It was a blockbuster hit, followed by Spiderman 2 (2004), and Spiderman 3 (2007) which were equally successful. My all-time favorite movie is Spiderman 2. Other Spiderman movies include The Amazing Spiderman (2012), The Amazing Spiderman (2014), and Spiderman: Homecoming (2017). Years have rolled on, be it young children or adults the Spiderman craze still lives in our hearts.
